Founded
in 1979, the goal of The Richmond Light Company (TRLc) is to produce
affordable and effective phototherapy devices for the treatment of
psoriasis and other skin
disorders using UV and Narrowband UVB. The Goeckerman
protocol, using ultraviolet B, was widely accepted as one of the most
effective phototherapy treatment methods for psoriasis. Narrowband
ultraviolet lamps became available in the early 1990's, and have shown
great promise as an alternative to Broadband ultraviolet and PUVA
(Psoralin plus UVA) phototherapy. Narrowband UVB has also been successfully
used to produce repigmentation in the treatment of vitiligo.
The Richmond
Light Company is now exclusively distributing National Biological products, particularly the Panosol II and Panosol 3D, and can supply most other National Biological phototherapy products including the Handisol II and Dermalume 2X.
The Richmond Light Company will continue to support the discontinued S2000 and 600 Series units.
We are a preferred provider for Anthem, Blue Cross-Blue Shield, Southern Health, and Coventry.
